A difficult task, but it can be accomplished together. Because if we can help save a child, then why couldn't that child save the family, the neighborhood, the community, the world.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Fellowship position assists the Chief Clinical Operations Officer in implementing all clinical operations and services for YOC’s residential programs. The primary responsibilities include ensuring use of evidence based treatment modalities and fidelity to the model; providing observation, consultation, and assessment to all existing and incoming cases; assisting with the admissions process; monitoring crisis intervention and milieu management; implementing clinical and program trainings; providing psychological evaluations and other assessments to youth placed at the YOC; maintaining an active case load (as needed); and supporting and assisting other staff clinicians and Clinical Directors (as needed).

PRIMARY JOB EXPECTATIONS
1. Observation, Assessment and Diagnosis:

• Provides observation and assessment of existing and incoming cases to evaluate and determine the best treatment plans, services, and protocols.
• Completes CPA’s, as needed.
• Provide a minimum of two (2) psychological evaluations per month for youth placed at the YOC.
• Deliver IQ assessments to determine appropriateness for services/programs/discharge placements.
• Completes all required documentation relating to assessments and evaluations (collateral contacts, billing sheets, final reports, etc.).
• Assists the admissions process by writing and discussing clinical summaries with programs for all new intakes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
A doctoral degree in psychology, licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Indiana, or license eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Indiana. Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience providing therapeutic services and diagnostic testing, preferably in a residential setting. Knowledge of Medicaid preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS NEEDED
 Thorough knowledge of behavioral health and DD/ID/DD principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex treatment and service provisions.
 Excellent written and verbal diagnostic conceptualization skills.
 Strong attention to detail for all written forms of communication.
 Strong teaching/training skills.
 Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
 Excellent time management skills and the ability to support multiple work assignments simultaneously
 Ability to take the initiative and formulate a course of action to accomplish goals.
 Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and situations.
 Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people including a variety of internal and external customers.
 Able to identify problems and resolve them in a timely and appropriate manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical work week is Monday-Friday 40 hours. Position requires additional hours when necessary to complete special projects or meet specific deadlines. The Fellowship position will have regular contact with the YOC program/clinical staff members, members of office administration, and YOC executive staff members. Direct contact with state agencies, accrediting bodies, and placing agencies by phone and in person is possibly a function of this position. Courtesy and professionalism are expected at all times.

COMPENSATION
This position is full-time, and compensation includes a competitive salary and benefits plan.
