Day Care Assistant/Driver/General Cleaning helper,Whittier, Ca

$16.25 per hour plus mileage for picking up kids and bringing them to the Family Child Care Home

Hours needed are currently afternoons M-F with preference for those that are able to be available some mornings with advanced notice. Full time weeks are available when kids are ourt of school in Dec and January, plus Summer and other non school district times.

Brighter Beginnings in Child Care is looking for a Teachers Assistant/Driver/general cleaner that will provide educational activities and help with school lessons for children aged 0-12 years of age in a Licensed Family Child Care Program.

Candidate must have car insurance and a reliable/safe vehicle to drive to pick up children from Whittier Elementary schools as needed (Mileage Paid). Help Director with snacks/meals and general housekeeping tasks.

Attend field trips and provide transportation as needed. Must be organized with time and a motivated self starter that can see the need and jump in to help without being directed to do so.

Must have classroom control and be able to command groups of children that vary in age.

The ideal candidate will have passed and completed at least 6 units in college child development or Early childhood education coursework.

Must have a clear driving record and no criminal history and must pass a livescan criminal background clearance prior to being offered employment.
