JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide overall leadership and direction for all programmatic, administrative, and operational activities of the organization, reporting to the CEO. The COO will work closely with the CEO as a valued partner, Board of Directors, and senior management team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of programs and services to the community. A breadth of experience in healthcare, social services, autism services, and educational programming will be instrumental to this position.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will articulate and implement a strategic vision for the organization that focuses on growth and meeting community needs; oversee implementation of the strategic plan in close coordination with the senior leadership team and the board of directors, build new partnerships to grow and sustain the organization, and provide oversight to our programmatic areas that supports growth. Servant leadership will be instrumental to support and build a high functioning team.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Executive Officer

WORKERS SUPERVISED: Chief Program Officer, Senior Director of Plant Operations, Director of Quality and Compliance, and Director of Strategic Initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

· Take primary responsibility for implementation of the strategic plan and monitoring progress against established timelines and metrics by collaborating with leadership.

  • Responsible for communicating strategy and policy to employeesso that they are engaged in the organization and understand their critical role to our success. Foster employee alignment with our corporate goals.
  • Develops and administers operational policies and procedures.
  • Has primary responsibility and oversight for project management for the organization.

· Evaluates departmental and program needs and makes recommendations for budget, staffing, equipment, space and other needs in a fiscally responsible manner.

· Provides oversight for programmatic areas, including policies and procedures required for the provision of excellent service delivery models. Provides leadership to the Chief Program Officer to drive our programs to incorporate best practices and evidence based models of service delivery.

· Participates in plans for marketing of programs and services, managing growth in areas defined in the strategic plan, and fostering positive referral relationships.

· Has primary responsibility for organizational metrics and outcome measures. These include DEI metrics, quality metrics, and programmatic outcomes. Additionally, this position will have primary ownership for executive dashboards.

· Has primary responsibility for grievances and complaints and protocols to ensure organizational compliance.

  • Oversees day-to-day operations and keeps the CEO apprised of significant events;

· Participate in meetings with the Board of Directors including committee meetings. Provide regular reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders on the organization's performance and progress towards goals and objectives.

· Analyzes market dynamics, market share changes, product line performance and competitive intelligence.

· Assist in identifying joint ventures, potential M&A targets and other strategic partnership opportunities.

· Represent CI at key functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in a related social service field or business field

required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five years experiencein a senior leadership role

Prior experience in strategic planning and execution

Demonstrated experience in program development and project management

Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.

High emotional intelligence and an ability to be a natural convener of teams

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Ability and means to travel to external appointments on a flexible schedule as needed.

Pay: $155,000.00 - $209,000.00 per year
