DESCRIPTION

The Carroll Companies is looking for a COO who will provide leadership and strategic vision to our organization. As a key member of the senior management team, the COO reports directly to the CEO and establishes policies that promote company culture and vision through its operations. The COO is responsible for the efficiency of the business, which includes maintaining control of diverse business operations and establishing and following a set of policies and processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the internal day-to-day operations (finance, accounting, acquisition, development, construction, property management and asset management) and 300+ employees, while fostering the firm’s external relationships with lenders, government officials, property owners and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee the senior executive team, using a collaborative framework, to meet the firm’s strategic growth objectives
  • Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CFO, CEO, and other key executive team members
  • Identify ways to maximize revenue, reduce expenses, and drive continuous improvement
  • Strategically lead the management and execution of an expansive multifamily and mixed-use pipeline from development through stabilization
  • Oversee the life cycle of self-storage development pipeline, from development through construction and operations
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Assist the CEO with special projects and initiatives


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Construction Management
  • 15 – 20 years’ experience in real estate, multifamily, finance or related industry
  • 10 years of executive level operational experience
  • Exceptional executive presence, business acumen and presentation skills
  • Budgeting and/or financial focused mindset helpful
