CFO opportunity in Florida
The Chief Financial Officer position is a key member of the executive leadership team, and accountable for the financial, asset management and risk management operations of the company. This is a rapidly growing company with diverse culture. This position will include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results. The CFO manages the day to day operations, development and performance of the Finance and Asset Management teams as well as the contract management, contract billings, inventory control and purchasing functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the annual operating plan and budgeting process.
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
Assist in monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans.
Develop optimal financial and tax strategies.
Cash-flow forecasting and management, including on-going relationship with banks.
Budget variance reporting and analysis.
Direct the asset management functions of the company.
Support operating and commercial teams by preparing and providing product/project costing and other analyses as determined by the leadership team.
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
Implement operational best practices; Identifying cost savings and potential efficiencies in operations.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
Establish and enforce internal control procedures.
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Maintain professional interactions and relationships with auditors, banks, lawyers and tax authorities.
Desired Qualifications:
· bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a medium-sized company or else a division of a large corporation. Experience managing general accounting and cost accounting functions is a must, and public accounting experience is preferred.
· Candidates should have previous experience as a CFO, experience in partnering with an executive team, a strategic orientation, and extremely proficient written and verbal communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a CPA, MBA or IFRS training and experience. Experience with food production selling to retail is desired.
· The ideal candidate will have experience building, leading and developing high performance teams, with management competencies characteristic of collaborative organizations that cultivate ongoing development and open communication.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus bonus depending on experience

Pay: From $185,000.00 per year
