Best Western Plus is searching for a Maintenance Technician to manage a preventative maintenance program and to ensure fixtures and equipment throughout the hotel are working properly for the safety and comfort of our guests and staff.

We offer flexible hours and schedules. Previous hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance experience is preferred.

Chief Responsibilities:

• Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, touch-up painting, bathroom fixtures, laundry equipment, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties as detailed in the hotel preventative maintenance calendar.
• Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, television sets, lighting systems and make minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure things are working properly and efficiently at all times
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and countertops.
• Maintain outdoor general grounds around the hotel to ensure nice curb appeal and guest safety.
• Manage maintenance supplies and orders. Work with and be the liaison between the hotel and outside repair services like commercial HVAC/electrical vendors, plumbers, and pest control companies.
• Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, unsafe conditions, or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor or manager on duty

Key Requirements:

• Must be able to work independently with little supervision yet be an integral part of the overall team at the hotel.
• Creative/critical thinker with basic plumbing, electrical, and "handyman" skills.
• Must have a "can-do" attitude with a focus on customer service
• Be able to stand, bend, lift up to 40lbs and be on your feet for 6-8 hour shifts.
• Effective communication with both guests and team members is crucial.
