Supervises team of CADD Specialists in support of design projects, construction projects and facilities maintenance efforts for MacDill AFB, providing accurate Geospatial data, as well as raster imagery.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares drawings for an entire project or a portion of a project with independent responsibility for completion. Translates ideas, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations of engineers and architects into complete and accurate working drawings for use in structure and system maintenance, repair, or new construction.
Oversees CADD drafting and plotting services to internal and external customers; communicates with customers on all job requests and CADD-related requirements.
Maintains and updates as-built drawings; takes action to ensure that information on drawings submitted as “as-built” for projects are made available in appropriate folders on network server. Research original drawings and extracts record drawings from electronic files and updates file system for new inputs.
Possess multi-disciplinary organizational skills made necessary by high degree of interaction with various operating groups. Maintains electronic copies of all as built and new designs.
Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function; leads and directs the work of construction inspectors.
Minimum Qualifications:
This role may require that company vehicles are driven.
Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Must have at 8+ years of CADD experience.
Practical knowledge of a wide range of technical engineering methods, principles, requirements, work techniques and practices relating to CADD
Knowledge of engineering and architectural plans and specifications to read and interpret designs.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.
