Work directly for a Northern NJ area company that supplies high quality oils and specialty ingredients to the beverage industry.Chemical Plant Operator/Engineer:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations: Liquid-liquid extraction process, vacuum distillation, Molecular distillation, CO2 extraction process, Chemical Reaction, blending chemicals and any other operations required to complete the job
Equipment: Liquid-Liquid Extractor (PLC controlled), Vacuum distillation unit PID controlled, Molecular distillation unit, CO2 extractor, Reaction vessels, Blending tanks, Vacuum Pumps, Fluid pumps, Air compressors, Steam boiler, Cooling tower, Chiller
- Operate all operations according to required safety measures.
- Maintain record of everyday readings of processing equipment and ensure optimal level of production.
- Monitor and control all plant production and processing equipment"s.
- Resolve all operating issues in same and perform regular periodic maintenance on all equipment.
- Manage all communication on operation issues between manager and coworkers.
- Monitor all safety issues for company safety supervisor.
- Ensure work site free of any wastage and maintain neat and clean plant site.
- Manage all boilers and associate auxiliary equipment and maintain all plant operations.
- Maintain all boiler operations safely and manage all power consumption.
- Supervise efficient operations of all plant equipment"s.
- Perform troubleshoot to identify and resolve all issues efficiently and assist to read all meters and gauges at regular intervals.
- Install and perform repair on all plant equipment according to production specifications and prepare record of all production and maintain all product equipment.
Bachelor"s Degree is preferred (but not necessary) in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or Chemistry.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical Engineering, Flavor or Chemical Processing Industry.
Knowledge of chemistry and chemical process is required.
Knowledge of PLC controls, HMI, process control instruments and sensors is
preferred.
Understanding of distillation equipment, liquid-liquid extraction process, Reaction process is preferred.
