Chauffeur / Groundskeeper, needed for a private residence in New Canaan Connecticut. Position requires private tranportation and the hands-on maintenance of the private family and their Southern Connecticut home. *The ideal individual needs to be a self-starter with the ability see through tasks without supervision.

Job Requirements:

• General maintenance of the property, specifically the exterior grounds.
• Chauffeuring - Transportation of the family, both locally and to and from NYC, etc.
• Grass cutting, weeding, mulching, pruning, planting flowers, snow removal, gutter cleaning and general gardening.
• Painting and basic carpentry skills - experience w/ power tools, chainsaws, power washers, etc.
• Landscaping/Project management background a must.
• Experience maintaining vehicles a plus / Washing vehicles weekly
• Personal Driver - Occasionally driving property owner & family to NYC, airports, work and personal functions/events, etc.
• Looking for a leader who will assume full-charge and schedule and supervise outside service providers as needed.
• Ability to organize and complete Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal and Annual Maintenance Schedules, and to provide hands-on upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Technical, carpenter, electrical and painting skills are welcome, but must still be willing to do the daily upkeep tasks.
• Scheduling, managing, ordering, and purchasing supplies,
• When required, manage outside sub-contractors, hire additional labor.
• Occasionally Setup for social events, tents, chairs, tables, inter-act with caterer and guests.
• Maintain calendar, record events, and schedules. Good communicator, follow directions
• Reliable, trustworthy professional with related exp. and excellent checkable references.
• Computer-savvy, and able to communicate effectively with the owner about day-to-day issues
• Must have clean driver’s license
• Must be legally able to work in the USA
• Must be vaccinated
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 24 hours a week with flexibility to work overtime and ability to work some weekends.
• Check HVAC, Boiler Room, Generator functionality
• Clean fireplaces, restock firewood
• Check light bulbs and change as needed
• Maintain garages (sweeping floor, vacuuming)
• Cleaning/maintaining/fueling all vehicles
• Assist housekeepers with heavy lifting, clean dryer ducts, etc.
• Retrieve FedEx, UPS, USPS parcels from

HIRING REQUIREMENT:

• Relevant Experience
• Must be familiar with the Southern Connecticut & NYC. Locals only.
• Recent experience driving a wide array of vehicles including SUVs.
• Good health and physically fit. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible and able to accommodate spontaneous changes to routines and plans.
• Long-term intent.
• Able to work legally in the United States, with a valid passport, driver’s license, and spotless driving record.
• Able to withstand deep background, credit, and reference checks.
• Willing to take a pre-employment physical, psychological exam, and drug screen.
• Certified AED / CPR / First Aid a plus.

Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year, depending on experience
