PURPOSE:

The Certified Nursing Assistant, provides direct care, and assist residents with activities of daily living, under the supervision of a licensed nurse and consistent with facility policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience giving personal care to impaired individuals in a health care setting.
• NJ CNA certification
• Must be Covid19 Vaccinated

DUTIES:

• Follow written and oral direction to provide nursing and nursing related services to residents consistent with each resident's comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
• Resident care is provided according to the flow of care in a manner that meets the resident's physical, mental, and psycho-social needs and enables the individual to attain or maintain the highest practical level of functioning.
• Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately
• Conduct resident rounds as assigned
• Identify resident problems and concerns and report them immediately to a charge nurse or licensed nurse.
• Initiate corrective action as necessary and/or seek assistance of a licensed nurse
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiate corrective action.
• Attend all in-service classes as assigned and complete assignments
• Assume personal responsibility for following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the unit
• Document care and treatment provided to residents and the resident's response or lack of response to the treatment provided
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information
• Follow facility procedure for admission, discharge and transfer of residents
• Assure residents have call lights at hand and answer call lights promptly
• Assure residents are given adequate assistance with meals, nourishment and transportation to meal service areas
• Come to work in a clean, neat uniform and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook
• Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
