Job description
The Board of Directors of the Kanza Cooperative Association, headquartered in Iuka, Kansas, is searching for a CEO to lead their extremely successful company. Candidates considered for this position must possess a strong background in grain management, feed, retail sales, and energy. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated upper management or CEO level success in a mid to large sized agriculturally focused company or Cooperative. Personally, candidates must have a reputation for being approachable, analytical, intelligent, and personable on-the-job. Candidates should also have excellent business instincts coupled with strong financial acumen. The Kanza Cooperative Association has been serving patrons for over 100 years. Candidates must understand and appreciate the Cooperative business model and the strength it brings to rural America in both business practice and spirit. The CEO will be expected to reside in the trade territory.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
o This position requires the highest levels of business acumen and industry foresight.
o A bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10 – 15 plus years of Cooperative management or ag-business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
o A strong background in grain.
o Be knowledgeable about all facets of the business including grain handling and marketing, agronomy, energy, c-stores and feed.
o Possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
o Passionate about the success of Cooperatives and agriculture.
o An excellent decision maker with a track record of success.
o Excellent public speaking skills and presence.
o Strong talent manager with outstanding personal integrity.
o Thrive under the pressure of multiple priorities while working with complex problems and people.
o Be willing to reside in the trade territory.

The Kanza Cooperative Association is located in central and south-central Kansas with its headquarters in Iuka, which is less than ten miles north of Pratt. Compensation and Benefits:
