Summary Promotes the Ministry, Mission and Core Values of the Arlington of Naples and Lutheran Life Communities by demonstrating professional and ethical work practices while fostering excellence in hospitality and customer service. Responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and delivering of supplies and materials. Provides secretarial support to the nursing department. Gathers statistics and performs other duties as required. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Provides additional administrative support. Procures supplies, services and equipment by reviewing of purchase requisitions to assure goods and services are acquired with proper authorization. Maintains sufficient inventory of supplies to meet normal needs. Receives incoming material, stock in designated area, re-order supplies as needed including paper supplies, nursing supplies, office supplies, oxygen, liquid nutrition, computer paper, copier supplies, etc. Delivers materials to departments by routine delivery of supplies. Ensures timely distribution, keeping a schedule of daily routine. Updates Physician’s information, i.e., address, office numbers, cell and fax numbers. Performs miscellaneous duties pertaining to Nursing. Assists in relieving front desk concierge as needed. Performs other functions and responsibilities as assigned. Provides additional clerical duties as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities Not applicable. Education /Experience/Skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 2-3 years of inventory control and handling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Must be able to read and write legibly in English. Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures. Ability to speak English effectively to individuals, customers, or employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Attends all mandatory in-services and staff meetings. Knowledgeable of the emergency codes and understands and observes department safety rules. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Completes annual medical history/physical and TB tests on time. Certification and Licensure Not applicable.
