Winnfield Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Baton Rouge is located on 13 breathtaking acres of tranquil lawns and greenery. We are looking for Grounds Maintenance to join a small team of cemetery maintenance crew members at this location to keep the grounds looking their best. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for general grounds upkeep and landscaping, memorial installation, burials, and maintenance of cemetery, mausoleum, equipment and buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Workable knowledge of use of heavy equipment when servicing burials and landscaping.
• Responsible for installing memorials, monuments, foot markers, foundations, and the completion of work orders, burial cards and other documents provided by the company.
• Responsible for regular mowing of grass, application of fertilizers and other chemicals, pruning of shrubs and trees, planting flowers, and removing debris from the premises.
• Responsible for maintaining the condition of, servicing, and repairing all equipment, tools, and vehicles provided by the cemetery necessary for providing service or maintaining the grounds.
• Performs other related work as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must have and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
• Must maintain good communication with Management and your fellow associates and must be able to follow the oral or written instructions given by all Management personnel.
• Must follow all written and verbal safety procedures in accordance with company policy and as directed by Management.
• Must fulfill any and all other tasks as directed by Management personnel.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must maintain a professional appearance at all times and adhere to professional standards of conduct while representing our Company.
