CDL Truck Driver FT/PT

Full-Time and Part-Time positions with flexible hours are available

The CDL Driver, reporting to the Trucking Supervisor / Dispatcher, is responsible for safely operating a truck (dump truck, box truck, side dump, etc.), communicating with the Dispatcher for driving schedules and questions regarding schedules, completing pre-and post-trip inspections on vehicles, complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures, reporting all defects, accidents, or violations.

Requirements:

- Class A or B license (CDL)

- Submit to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment and random)

- Must have a current physical

- 20 years or older

- No commercial vehicle accidents in the past 5 yrs.

- No more than 2 commercial vehicle moving violations in the past 5 yrs.

- No drug or alcohol-related issues

- Cannot have a “No Air Brakes” Exception

- To be a trainee: One must graduate from an accredited driving school

Preferred Experience:

- Customer service

- 2 years of driving experience preferred

Duties:

Drivers will be hauling primarily aggregate, soil, and mulch as well as doing paving work.

Compensation:

The rate of pay is based on experience and will be determined at the time of offer.

Full-time schedule:

· Year-round, Monday-Friday, hours vary between 5:00 am-4:00 pm

· Some Saturday availability

· Home every night

Work location: Herman’s operates within 150 air miles of the office in Wrightstown, NJ
