CAT Scale Company is hiring hard-working and dedicated Construction Laborers to join our team and travel all over the United States maintaining and repairing our 2,100+ CAT Scales.

Our employees are on the road 2-3 weeks at a time. We offer a great salary and benefits package that pays you year-round. You will have the security of earning a paycheck whether you are on the road or home, enjoying your hard-earned time off.

As a Construction Laborer, you will work with and learn from all different types of people including crew members, foreman, maintenance crews, subcontractors, and customers. Laborers will encounter all types of tasks including, but not limited to, concrete work and repair, scale deck repair, trenching for conduit, the use of all kinds of tools and how to maintain CAT Scale equipment. This is a great job for people who like to get lots of exercise, work outside, and stay busy! Employees need to live within a two-hour drive time of CAT Scale Headquarters located in Walcott, Iowa.

Requirements

• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all types of people
• Able to work successfully under limited supervision AND in a team-based setting
• Must be accountable for your actions, be detail oriented, and take initiative to complete projects in a timely fashion
• Possess the ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds regularly and must be able to stand, kneel and bend over long periods
• Work outside during all types of weather
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or 2-3 weeks at a time throughout the United States and Canada. Must have the ability to obtain a Passport.
• Ensure all safety guidelines and organizational best practices are always followed
• No minimum experience needed - but construction background is helpful!

License

• Valid Class A CDL with good driving record (preferred) or ability to obtain one in the first 3 months of employment.
• If you are eligible . . . but don’t have a CDL, we’ll help you to get it!
