Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Cashier is to provide and ensure unmatched guest service through the prompt delivery of guest requests and accurate communication with all team members.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Greet all guests immediately when entering the restaurant, entering your work area, and before departure.

· Work with a positive and energetic attitude always to ensure guest experience meets brand experience expectations.

· Efficiently take beverage and food orders in accordance with company specifications

· Understanding of Clover POS system and functions.

· Wash/cut fruit and veggies

· Bottle juices

· Barista experience

· Clean equipment

· Startup equipment for the day

· Enter orders into POS system correctly and can set up registers daily

· Handles cash and credit transactions associated with sales accurately and provides correct change to the guest

· Have a comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu

· Understand and have the knowledge of all service functions to provide guests their requested orders

· Responsible for maintaining par levels of boxes, cups, straws, napkins, and other guest essential items

· Maintains a clean workplace by cleaning all countertops, floors, tables, and other guest facing areas

· Proactively engages guests to ensure any needs are met, guiding them through the menu

· Works in an appropriate non-hazardous manner avoiding self-injury and unsafe work methods

· Submits regular checks by manager to ensure proper handling of equipment and proper lifting techniques are being used.

· Provides accurate information to guests on any non-confidential questions

· Communicates with management, team members, and corporate leadership to rectify any and all customer needs, comments, or incidents

· Attends all required training sessions

· Consistently maintains a professional, well-groomed appearance, posture, and hygiene in accordance with company standards and the theme of the venue. Fashion and style to stay current and in-line with current fashion standards and trends as deemed by management.

· Tattoos and Piercings with jewelry are upkept with no visible offensive slurs or sayings.

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Company Standards of Conduct:

All Thick and Thin and AYYA Hospitality Group team members are expected to always conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements, and rules of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 18+ years of age

· Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Health card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy

· Capability to understand provided menu, list of ingredients, and allergens.

· Must be able to demonstrate superior customer service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor

· Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands

· Must be able to complete cash transactions accurately and efficiently, basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division a must

· Ability to consistently communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience

· Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

· Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned

· Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation

· Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts

· Ability to interact appropriately with guests and Team Members

· Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel

· Work in a fast-paced and busy environment

· Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, food, scents, CRT, noise, dust, and smoke.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekend availability
