Parks Administration Office
The Parks Administration Office is recruiting for on-call front desk support staff who are committed to delivering excellence in public service. This position is the first point of contact for our patrons with a focus on creating a welcoming environment. In this role you would assist with general Parks & Recreation inquiries, sign patrons up for programs, assist in scheduling and booking park shelters and facilities. The initial schedule will be 2 – 3 days a week for a month for training, then would be on-call as needed with varied hours Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
The principal function of an employee in this class is to perform various customer service functions for an assigned City department. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned supervisor, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, City personnel, and the general public. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.

- Some customer service or general office experience; or

Bilingual incentive pay available
Preference may be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish/English and bilingualism is our ideal as opportunities for community engagement abound. Employees who can demonstrate the ability to speak Spanish, or any language spoken by over ten percent (10%) of City residents as documented by the most recent U.S. Census, at a proficiency level determined by a fluency test administered by the City, will receive a monthly premium of three percent (3%) of their regular base pay.
