Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. is currently seeking a Cash Application Analyst to join our team in our headquarters in Oak Ridge, TN! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
· Obtain primary financial data for accounting records.
· Use Excel to format lists of policies so that our internal systems can take the input.
· Identify and allocate payments, and ensure cash is posted and distributed accurately.
· Work closely with other departments including Underwriting, Collections, and Customer Service to resolve posting problems.
· Process electronic and manual remittance transactions.
· Research and resolve issues through departmental procedures.

Qualifications:
· Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
· Extensive knowledge of Excel
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Strong organizational skills
· Deadline and detail-oriented
· Excellent communication skills
Education:
· High school diploma or GED
Compensation:
· $16 - $18 per hour.
