Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Case Manager duties consist of, but are not limited to:
- Assisting Applicants during the grant award process and closing meetings in which CDBG-DR funds will be received
Performing a detailed and timely review of all documents required from Applicants and third parties to ensure that the provided documents are sufficient and comply with Program policies and procedures
Assisting the applicant in collecting and providing receipts and other closeout documents to the administering entity until the Program notifies the applicant of a successful close out of the file
Reviewing any assigned, previously closed out or in process of closeout cases for compliance verification.
- Case Manager will also complete daily to track metrics throughout the close-out procedure.
Required Education and Experience:
- An associate or bachelor's degree (Preferably in accounting, finance or business administration or related field)
or
- At least five (5) years of experience in case management, banking, accounting, lending practices, business administration or related field
- Must possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills to review case documentation and make correct recommendations.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
- Previous disaster response/recovery/case management experience a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual candidates in English/Spanish Preferred
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to monitor and report on multiple deliverables with a focus on meeting and exceeding deadlines.
- Must be team oriented, have a strong work ethic, and be able to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Understanding of and ability to analyze tax returns, insurance company documentation and other program-related documents.
- Extensive computer/PC knowledge required. Skills to work with documentation and fully digital files.
- Availability to work office hours Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
