Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Prospecting calls - Spend time authentically connecting with customers
• Be able to make a sales pitch to potential customers
• Negotiate honestly and fairly to influence customers to work with Direct Traffic Solutions
• Always be proactive in your communication
• Oversee daily shipments, make sure they pick-up and deliver as per written agreements
• Proactively work to resolve issues for customers (creates increased customer loyalty over time)
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

Job Requirements:

• College degree preferred, high school diploma with two years proven freight brokerage or sales experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet and ability to quickly learn new IT systems and platforms a must
• Strong telephone and written communication skills
• Assertive, passionate, and dedicated to succeed
• Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
• Ability to work in a blended role of Operations and Sales within an office environment
• Manage complex customer situations promptly and professionally
• Ability to multi-task
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual a plus.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire for career advancement
