Big M II is seeking a creative, dynamic, and passionate Inside Sales Rep. to join our team! You will develop relationships with outside independent contractors to help transport freight from one point to another point. You will be the voice of the company when incoming calls come in from drivers wanting to move loads that we have available from our customers. You’ll answer questions and resolve issues related to any trucks for transport and communicate any special instruction regarding the trips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers by exceeding their expectations

• Carrier sourcing and development is a primary function of this position

• Dispatch company-controlled freight and support

• Negotiating rates with customer and potential customers

• Processing customer orders

• Dispatch/coordinating between carrier drivers/dispatch and customers on load information

• Post freight on various load boards and call carriers to book loads

• Qualifying carriers

• Follow company policy for processes and procedures

• Maintain communication with carriers/customers

• Carrier/customer retention

Minimum Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

· Positive attitude

· Proficient computer skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Working independently, great communicator and customer service skills

· Problem solving and negotiations skills

· Data entry skills

· Ability to coordinate high volume phone calls (60-80 phone calls per day)

Preferred Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree

· Transportation and 3rd party dispatch experience in sourcing and developing carriers

· Negotiations skills

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $40,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
