Berkshire Homecare is seeking caregivers in ALL AREAS! We have immediate openings in the Greater Cleveland and Lorain County Areas!

We are in need of compassionate caregivers to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patient homes in accordance with their established care plans.

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

HHA, PCA, or STNA Certification required, obtained through successful completion of an approved program that has a minimum of 75 hours and meets CMS guidelines.

Candidates must have completed the HHA program within 2 years of applying or can demonstrate they have been employed in a direct patient care setting such as with a Home Health Agency, Nursing Home, or Hospital.

Must possess an empathetic demeanor, care, and understanding of the sick

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and carry out directions independently.

Display maturity and responsibility, meet job demands effectively with professionalism and courtesy.

Participate in meetings with professionalism.

A Criminal Background Check will be conducted prior to being offered permanent employment with this Agency.

Must be able to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing patient care.

Physical Requirements:

Possess good visual and hearing skills, sufficient to understand verbal and written direction.

Be able to perform physical tasks, which may include heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), extensive bending and standing.

Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Possess a strong work ethic, communicate effective with the office regarding patient care.

Possess reliable transportation to and from work.

Display a strong ability to assess and communicate effectively with ill patients, co-workers, and general public.

Maintain a professional practice and hygienic appearance at all times.

The CMS mandate requires healthcare employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
