We are actively hiring Mental Health Technicians (also called Care Coordinators) for female adolescents ages 12-17 in a residential mental health program. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, understanding, and patient. Care Coordinators will be caring for teens who have experienced trauma and supporting them on their healing journey. Care Coordinators may be required to drive van to transport clients from Facility Homes to campuses.
Schedule: 5 x 8 hour shifts per week
Shifts: 3pm - 11pm OR 11pm - 7am
Pay: $20 - $25 / hour (Opportunity for pay raise after 4 weeks!)
Notes: 13 week contract with extensions. Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits.
Location: Penngrove, CA
This is NOT a travel assignment.
Requirements:
Experience working with adolescents
Clean driver's license
Online or Hands-On CPR
Clean LiveScan report
Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Mental Health/Psychiatric Technician to care for individuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities following the instructions of physicians or other health practitioners. They monitor a patient's physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provides personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned clients
- Assists clients with grooming, eating/meal preparation, and toileting
- Assists with ambulation and transfer services
- Monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure
- Provides behavioral support services
- Provides crisis intervention
- Encourages independence
- Maintains patient safety
- Implements behavioral plans
- Documents care per policies and procedures
- Participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs, help with personal hygiene, and administer oralor injectable medications
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
