- Verifying insurance and benefits for all Medicare, Managed Care and Private Fee for Service Plans.
- Securing authorization for services provided by BayCare HomeCare from the payers.
- Selecting the correct payer codes to provide accurate intake information.
- Entering the appropriate financial information including benefits, deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance, out of pocket, another related costs into the EMR system.
- Responsible for timely request and communication of authorizations to payer and documentation in EMR.
- The Care Coordination Assistant will work under the direction of the Care Transition Coordinator or RN Case Manager to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with patients, payors and other customers.
- Understands medical criteria for securing all required information from the referral source.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Technical Medical
- 1 year Insurance Verification
- 1 year Customer Service
- 1 year Medical Related Field
