Description
CA seeks a campus security officer to join our security team. Security officers are responsible for patrolling the 94-acre campus and monitoring activity.
The Campus Security Officer will:
- Assist administration and other security staff with ensuring the safety of students, staff, parents, and campus visitors and the security of facilities.
- Assist staff, police and emergency personnel in handling emergencies or disruptive situations.
- Assist visitors with directions and secure proper identification.
This is a full-time, 12-month position, which reports to the Director of Security.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous police, military or security experience
- Valid P.O.S.T. certification or CCW
- Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record must meet established standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Must have First Aid certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to walk and patrol inside and outside in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
The pay range for the position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Although $25.00 - $30.00 per hour is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience.
