Campaign and Reporting Specialist

Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Advancement, the Campaign and Reporting Specialist performs a variety of duties related to planning, coordinating, and implementing fundraising functions to support the philanthropic efforts of Franciscan Children’s. This position oversees the Advancement Coordinator and primarily supports activities related to the capital campaign, major gifts, and donor analytics/ reporting.
Duties and responsibilities:
Campaign and Major Gifts
- Primarily support the VP of Advancement, the Director of Major Gifts, the Chairman of the Board, and the Chief Executive Officer with capital campaign and major gift related duties. Support the Director of Corporations and Foundations with campaign related activities and the Director of Annual Giving with data and reporting, as needed.
- Maintain calendar and create/compile materials, including PowerPoint presentations, as needed for executive and capital campaign related meetings.
- Coordinate all aspects of solicitations that the VP of Development, the Director of Major Gifts, the Chairman of the Board, and the Chief Executive Officer will make, including helping to schedule visits, conducting background research, preparing materials in advance of the solicitation, and initiating follow-up after the solicitation.
- Conduct prospect research, prepare donor briefings for key meetings and events, participate in strategy meetings, and manage campaign and major gift activity trackers. Assist with proposal writing as needed.
- Provide superior customer service to donors, external, and internal audiences.
Database Management
- Manage the Advancement Coordinator who is responsible for all aspects of data entry, gift processing, acknowledgment, and financial reconciliation. Ensure accuracy of gift entry and compliance with hospital policies and IRS regulations.
- Oversee the functionality of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database and ensure constituent data is managed according to best practices.
- Work with Advancement Coordinator to create and execute queries and mailing lists for events, appeals, and donor communications.
- Work with Advancement Coordinator and Director of Annual Giving to conduct and import regular screenings including NCOA and WealthEngine.
- Serve as the primary liaison to Raiser’s Edge NXT and future systems for technical support and training.
Reporting:
- Develop, automate, and analyze fundraising and financial reports for the Advancement team that monitor progress to goal (quarterly, year-to-date, year-to-year, campaign, event, and appeal totals).
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Finance department, overseeing the reconciliation of Advancement and Fiscal revenue on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Assist with creating yearly departmental budgets and fundraising goals. Reconcile expenses with Finance department to reflect accurate cost per dollar raised.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT, or comparable CRM software (required)
- Experience with Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (required)
- Experience with gift processing (preferred)
- Experience with SQL reporting (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- 2-4 years’ work experience, preferably with 1-2 years in an Advancement/ Fundraising office
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through; superior analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization to senior level and targeted donor base in both written and verbal communications
- Previous experience coordinating and scheduling a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness in working on multiple projects
- Positive, friendly individual who enjoys a team-oriented working environment
- Flexibility to work after-hours and/or weekends for event support as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
