A Raysvision Camera Operator for the Tampa Bay Rays is a game day and other event position that works to execute live event productions, mainly supporting Rays home games. The operator is responsible for running a broadcast/ENG camera to cover any game or event action assigned to that specific camera position. This position plays a key role in enhancing the game day entertainment experience for fans. The incumbent must be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment wherein critical thinking and the ability to effectively follow direction are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings each game
• Work with the game day Director and Technical Director to fax out cameras
• Run-through and know all camera controls and expectation for specific camera position responsibilities
• Maintain situational awareness during the entire game and inning breaks
• Follow leads from game day Director and Producer
• Work with the Raysvision team to execute high quality shows
• Provide general support to the Game Presentation Department
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience with sports, events or live production
• Experience working with and running a broadcast/ENG camera
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
• Knowledge of MLB rules and strong understanding of baseball
• Works well in fast-paced/live event, high pressure situations
• Represent the Rays Organization in a positive way in and outside of ballpark.
• Adhere to Rays organization policies and procedures
• Must have reliable transportation and live in the Tampa Bay area
• Applicants must be 18 years or older
