SUMMARY
We are in search of an experienced Cad Librarian/Design Review Specialist who will be responsible for creating schematic and PCB parts and decals, managing and optimizing the Parts Libraries for PADs Pro and PADs Logic, and performing all design cleanup and BOM verification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, maintain, and optimize the parts libraries for PADS Pro and PADs Logic.
- Update and input pin information and part attributes for components already in the libraries.
- Ensure the libraries are taking full advantage of the capabilities of the design software.
- Creating and maintaining new schematic parts and PCB decals based on the manufacturer’s datasheets.
- Develop and ensure that all new footprints adhere to a standard that will ensure ease of manufacturability.
- Ensure that all new parts meet the necessary environmental standards, such as RoHS, and procuring necessary documentation from manufacturer websites.
- Ensure that the necessary documentation is added to the PLM (Product Life Management) software and that all part information is correct.
- Review schematics and PCBs in the pre-design phase to ensure that designs are easy to read and decipher and all relevant part information is present.
- Ensure that all design information such as, part number, revision and description are filled out correctly.
- Verify that the BOM in the PLM software and the Schematic match.
Responsibilities (general):
- Ability and willingness to teach, advise, and help those with less experience in any particular area, and to learn from those who have more
- Must be able to work independently to manage large part libraries, and ensure that each is up to date.
- Support the user documentation team and provide source documentation as needed.
- Must also be able to work well with design engineers and product support to resolve issues and software problems.
- Should be able to keep track of many different projects and designs, stay organized, and keep the design process moving.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years’ experience with Xpedition, PADS Pro, PADs Logic and ECAD libraries/library management parameters, which define them.
- Extensive knowledge of common electronic component types, the functions they serve, and the
- A good understanding of manufacturing standards and tolerances.
- 5+ years’ experience with Expedition, PADS Pro, PADs Logic and ECAD libraries/library management.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer’s data sheets and dimensioned drawings.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
- Must be committed to quality design, implementation, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Must have and maintain good computer related skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity working with PLM (Product Life Management) software.
- Firm knowledge of IPC part standards.
- Experience in schematic drafting and PCB layout.
