Buyer
Job Summary
Responsible for purchasing goods for Siegel Egg to sell. This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage an inventory, evaluate quality goods, and stick within a budget. You will work with Operations to maintain product flow from vendors to warehouses to stores! A successful candidate for this position will have excellent time management, outstanding problem solving and advanced excel aptitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying suppliers for our store’s products. Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices.
- Develop strategies to negotiate the best possible cost of goods to accelerate profitability and revenue.
- Manage product strategy, product planning, negotiating, and implementing regional offers
- Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
- Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
- Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
- Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
- Create reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjust your strategies accordingly
- Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers
- Attend trade shows and events to remain up to date with the market’s trends
- Working collaboratively with other departments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a buyer or relevant role
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
- Up to speed with purchasing best practices
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Purchasing directly from manufacturers: 5 years (Required)
