YOUR MISSION (The Job Description): The busser is responsible for assisting in the overall experience of the guests. It is the busser who will help the server maintain the guest experience, inform the server of guests needs in which they cannot assist, Clear un-needed plates, glassware & silverware from tables, serve water & bread, reset the table with proper service-ware, restock and polish glassware and silverware, assist and support the overall care of our guests. A busser should be comfortable with interacting with the guests, hip and friendly while maintaining a professional attitude. You are able to multitask while staying cool under all situations presented to you.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):
The busser is responsible for assisting the guest to ensure that their restaurant experience is at or above our standards. The busser must operate the restaurant in accordance with the company's policies and guidelines. The busser must have an attention for detail in all areas of the operation, including the food, service, hospitality, safety, cleanliness and sanitation. In particular:

  • Showing up on time and in proper uniform and with required materials
  • Greeting guests in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Consistently monitor quality of food & beverage being
  • Performs light housekeeping duties such as ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked and kept
  • Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and inquiries
  • Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep all service equipment in your area.
  • Assist in greeting guests as they are seated, offer water options, and bread
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next
  • Clear tables after Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and tables cleanliness as Reset and arrange tabletop in accordance to company policy.
  • Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as
  • Respond appropriately to guest Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
  • Assist server as needed with serving and clearing.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of trestaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

The busser is responsible for ensuring that proper communication occurs between the guest and the rest of the staff; including but not limited to the kitchen staff, server, food runner, manager and other bussers. The busser should always be apprised of all happenings in and around the tables and guests. A busser must also be comfortable and confident speaking in person and on the phone with guest. Multitasking and have a strong memory or ability to write down notes quickly and accurately are imperative.
