Job Description Summary

The Busser is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the food service venues of the hotel. The Busser sets-up, services, and breaks-down the food and beverage areas where they are assigned ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, and service. The Busser also assists the Restaurant Servers with cleanup of guest tables and restaurant area.

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:

• Establish service standards throughout guest experience. Ascertain guest satisfaction.
• Assist service staff as directed by manager.
• Supply assigned station with all items needed for daily operation.
• Serve water, coffee, juice, and other beverages and refills.
• Clear extra place settings at the table.
• Maintain customer relations at the table.
• Complete all closing side work properly.
• Perform any duties as requested by manager.
• Handle stress and multiple tasks (to organize service steps).
• Maintains good interpersonal relations with guests and co-workers.
• Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests
• Build solid relationship with your Colleagues
• Treat colleagues with respect and dignity
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Qualifications and Skills

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.

• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
• Strong communication skills
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
• Frequently bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing/pulling up to approximately 300 pounds.
