Position Summary: * : * Under direction of the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Business Process Analyst’s role is to work closely with our customers to support their business needs and objectives, create and support data analytics, create reports and extracts, and assess business requirements to make evidence-based recommendations as needed. This includes the support of data and configuration tables, process code, and documenting internal and external business process activities for future reference. Additionally, this person will communicate with various business process owners to develop and improve various operational and reporting processes.

Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business needs, internal workflows and business processes.
  • Create and maintain configuration tables related to automated processes, dashboards, and report references.
  • Create and maintain documentation and reference materials related to various tables related to automated processes, dashboards, and report references.
  • Collaborate with business process owners from various HCP departments on process automation and reference sources.
  • Provide system configuration and process improvement recommendations to various HCP departments to ensure consistent documentation and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance functions on various automated processes, dashboards, and report references.
  • Provide coding assistance as needed.

Qualification Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office product suite
  • Ability to draw together facts from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and communicate the “story” to management and peers
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to be self-directed
  • Goal oriented and outcomes driven with strong desire to succeed and influence the healthcare system
  • Working knowledge of transactional SQL server coding
  • Multi-tasker with time management skills to manage a variety of tasks/projects with changing priorities common in a very competitive environment
  • Critical thinker with ability to draw conclusions from data that may not be expected

Training/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HealthCare operations field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in business analytics or related field.
