This role can be worked remotely or within the Syracuse or Charlotte Offices.

We are seeking an Employee Benefits Billing Analyst to support the non-Customer facing support roles within our Customer Support business locations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Effectively manage assigned groups/tasks with supervision which consists of invoice reviews, payment reconciliation, managing suspense and cash reports
  • Reviewing daily file feeds to and from the billing vendor, reviewing invoice data for accuracy, and working with internal teams to rectify errors and regenerate invoices
  • Daily billing administration responsible for day-to-day production, standard customer service interactions, Quality assurance control testing
  • Operate as the billing support team member responsible for creating invoices in the billing tool
  • Operate as a liaison between customer service and groups to help train on utilizing the billing tool and researching issues or discrepancies
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining daily workflow

The base salary range for this position is $45,000-$66,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

2+ years billing experience, preferably in the insurance industry.

Financial & customer service knowledge and experience

Relationship building skills along with effective verbal, written and analytical skills

Customer oriented and sensitive to customer priorities.

Ability to operate in a challenging and fast-paced team environment

Customer Support Operations: Knowledge of customer support techniques, tools, technologies, and best practices; ability to utilize all aspects of customer support operations to manage a call center.

Customer Support Systems: Knowledge of principles and techniques used in customer support and ability to use applications, hardware, software, networking, and the applications environment used for customer support.

Customer Support: Trends and Directions: Knowledge of the marketplace and new developments in customer support; ability to predict trends related to the Customer Call Center or Support function.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.

Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
