About the role
Our practice is seeking a Physician Marketer/Business Development Professional for our Downtown Zone.
This professional must have a heart for people, a head for business, and a passion for results. The focus of this role is to increase both awareness and utilization of Peripheral Vascular Associates (PVA) Downtown Zone services within aligned healthcare providers and healthcare systems. This is accomplished by strengthening direct marketing, business development, and service delivery strategies, while acting as a liaison between the medical community and the PVA Downtown Zone.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is a critical member of PVA’s team, working daily/weekly with the Director of Marketing & Communication, referral organization contacts, local physicians/service providers and community leaders, to identify volume growth opportunities, understand competitive dynamics and create strategies to support annual goals.
The Physician Marketer/Business Development role will also work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to help develop go-to-market strategies that support growth plans, support the communities we serve, and identify customer/area growth opportunities
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Healthcare; or, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Highly professional with excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, business development, or sales preferred
  • Passionate about building relationships and delivering solutions.
  • Dedicated to follow-thru and results.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic about PVA’s values, mission and objectives.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to interact with, support, and positively influence the behavior and activities of referring physicians, superiors and staff/co-employees.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting, while exercising high integrity, reasoned and thoughtful judgment, a sense of urgency, and both analytical and intuitive skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate creative yet strategic thinking.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create market-entry strategies, managing business relationships, building credibility, and establishing immediate rapport with potential clients.
  • Cultivates win-win relationships with key referral sources to drive patient volume within assigned facilities
  • Provides weekly/monthly reporting as assigned
  • Travels to all facility locations within assigned region, as needed. Beyond South San Antonio, this includes South Texas communities such as Floresville, Jourdanton, Eagle Pass, Victoria, Uvalde.
  • Responsible for identifying growth opportunities and developing business plans to ensure continued operations growth of assigned entity(ies) that result in improved profitability, quality and increased market share.
  • Supports development and execution of programs to engage with both prospective and current patients, to generate additional referrals
  • Coordinate sponsored events and gatherings for medical staff.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for strategic physician recruitment or alignment
  • Assist in creation of marketing strategy and collateral materials to promote service lines
  • Partners with physicians, outside organizations’ leadership, and community leaders to identify key drivers and opportunities for service line growth initiatives for improved profitability and increased market share.
  • Facilitates the resolution of physician related issues related to outside operations.
  • Leads initiatives to onboard physicians and facilitate relationship building in order to ensure clinical integration for patients.
  • May represent PVA at assigned community or professional organization me Professional handling of exposure to confidential/sensitive information
  • Proactively partners closely with management to maintain an in-depth knowledge and rationale behind operational and corporate strategy, plans, programs and critical issues in order to ensure effective physician and market strategy.
