Business Development Associate- MMA National
Job description
Summary
The Business Development Associate will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development. They will work on a team to assist in the creation of new pipeline opportunities and support the general business needs of the group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pipeline Development Support
Lead outbound outreach to acquisition prospects through warm leads, referrals, and cold calling efforts to enhance the quality and quantity of MMA’s deal pipeline
Communicate the MMA story and value proposition to acquisition prospects
Assist in the creation, editing and tracking of new opportunities and pipeline opportunities
Assist in creation of screening of opportunities as requested by the field
Pipeline and Prospect Management
Assist in helping pull together periodic activity reporting
Assist in Salesforce database data entry and activity tracking (e.g., meeting feedback and notes)
Responsible for regularly updating tracker of warm and cold leads
Regular monitoring of acquisitions of existing prospects
Tracking of deal flow from brokers
Assist with weekly pipeline updates and management for weekly corporate development meetings
General and Marketing Support
Responsible for periodic updates and collaboration with the internal marketing and communications team to create to marketing materials, teasers, etc.
Support general business needs within the business development function
Qualifications
At least five years of experience in a sales, business development capacity strongly desired
Prior insurance brokerage (e.g., P&C, benefits) or retirement/wealth management experience a plus
Ideally have acquisition prospecting experience
Confidence and poise in speaking to business owners and entrepreneurs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize and problem solve
Must be energetic, outgoing, organized, proactive, and creative
Work Environment
This position requires an environment conducive to driving team audio/visual meetings on a regular basis.
Position may require periods of travel as needed, up to 10%.
Location within reasonable proximity to White Plains, NY
1-2 Days in office is ideal
Extended work hours required on occasion.
The applicable base pay range for this role is $76,100.00-$162,500.00
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
