The Business Banker is an entry-level position responsible for consistently growing the portfolio of clients through excellent prospecting and sales management techniques while continuing to service the needs of existing customers at the highest level. Develops new-to-bank business relationships as well as cross-marketing of services through sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and maximize operating capabilities and profitability. Typically, these will be clients with $1 million in annual revenue or less. This position is responsible for providing sales and referral support for a broad range of financial products including but not limited to business and professional working capital lines of credit, permanent working capital financing, new and used vehicle financing, new and used equipment financing, acquisition and refinance of owner-occupied commercial real estate loans, treasury management services and depository services. Familiar with a variety of the Banking/Financial field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and influence the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to senior management but will work closely with a Business Banking Relationship Manager. Ensures excellent internal and external client relations at all times.
Requirements:- Execute integrated sales and relationship strategies that are in alignment with the bank’s business plan to achieve targeted goals and service standards to meet assigned sales goals.
- Responsible for client satisfaction and relationship profitability, while providing clients with a single point of contact within the bank.
- Serve clients by identifying client needs and cross-sell the full range of bank products and services to new and existing clients.
- Works closely with a Business Banking Relationship Manager to develop call skills and credit skills.
- Participates in joint calls/meetings with business partners to develop client relationships and support specific product sales across business lines.
- Use sound judgment in qualifying potential customers and related business deal. Ensure clients meet credit and compliance criteria.
- Responsible for ensuring all necessary documents are delivered to allow for a complete credit assessment.
- Responsible for portfolio’s credit quality and take action as appropriate.
- Ensure that all client services and product processing activities are carried out in accordance with all regulatory, legal and governmental regulations. Work with corporate compliance, loan and deposit operations to ensure conformity with bank policies, procedures and Federal and State regulations and laws.
- Represent the bank in civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop expanded business.
- Identifies opportunities and proactively makes calls to customers/prospects to enhance their financial position.
- Opens new accounts and debit cards using the bank’s procedures and Customer Identification Procedures (CIP) policy for walk in customers, as well as face to face
- Attend meetings and training as required to continue development and to enhance knowledge of products, processes and technologies.

- Responsible for using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system of Salesforce to track all sales opportunities and development activity.
- Adhere to all Bank of San Antonio policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
