We're looking for someone to join our team as a Business Application Manager who:
The Business Applications Manager is the technical and personnel leader. This role will be a combination of management and technical project work. You will be responsible for fostering a workplace and team culture which upholds the company's core values as well as ensuring the quality of the work and maximizing the productivity of the team.
The incumbent is responsible for management and support of a portfolio of applications and technology solutions. This includes selection, blueprinting, requirements gathering, design, and roll out of solutions to business stakeholders. The role is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations. This individual works with leadership to define standards and models for business applications and portfolio management.
Essential Functions:
Strategy & Planning
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure applications meet existing and future requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for applications adoption.
- Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Ensures that the department meets/exceeds the needs of users, translating where necessary the business requirements and strategies of staff to applications analysis personnel.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all applications procurement and development efforts.
- Establish service level agreements with business units.
Acquisition & Deployment - Prepare proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for projects and associated efforts.
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Support the design, testing and implementation of process enhancements and identify opportunities for automation.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of business applications efforts.
- Assist with the planning and deployment of security measures related to business applications.
Operational Management - Manage and coach resources on apps team on the feasibility, efficiency and prioritization of projects and requests to support Clinica Sierra Vista functional business teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
- Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business and security architecture.
- Monitor system details within application systems including stored procedures, maintenance and implement efficiency improvements.
- Identify issues, and work to ensure consistency and integrity of applications usage.
- Liaise with infrastructure team to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent data activities.
- Test performance and provide application performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining applications infrastructure.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business systems via standardized communication methods.
- Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members on application systems and associated activities.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
- Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science, business, data analytics and/or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications including but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Epic care, ITIL, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are desirable.
- 5 years’ experience managing applications and/or systems management. Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools.
- Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management.
- Technically fluent in programming languages or tools, including scripting languages and API management.
- Experience with the organization’s core software applications and technologies including by not limited to Epic, Sage, Microix, ADP, Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint, and Application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
- Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
