Strategic Analysis is seeking a versatile, skilled Business Analyst to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Small Business Programs Office (SBPO) supporting the Transition & Commercialization Support Program (TCSP) Team with the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. It is of paramount importance to exceed our client expectations with high integrity and focused attention to program deliverables. In addition to working well in a team environment, as a successful candidate you will incorporate the following:

  • Support and facilitate transition and commercialization planning and execution for DARPA SBIR/STTR Phase II awardees participating in TCSP with specific focus into government sector.
  • Participate in teleconferences during on-boarding and periodic status reviews.
  • Provide recommendations through internet research to enhance transition success and assist with notes and documentation generation. Conduct research of viable government resources and opportunities relevant to each participant’s project as well as those that are of general interest to all awardees.
  • Participate in development of project quad charts in collaboration with TCSP participants.
  • Facilitate introductions to potential funders and collaborators.
  • Cultivate government and industry channels that could provide contracting and/or teaming opportunities for TCSP program participants.
  • Assist in content development, coordination, and participate in TCSP networking, training events and panel discussions at conferences.
  • Support DARPA Small Business Program Office (SBPO) in outreach events such as Defense Manufacturing Conference by proposing/coordinating speakers, panels and supporting match making at conferences.
  • Assist with the content development to generate technology profile, success reports and feature reports focused on highlighting positive progress toward transition and commercialization of DARPA SBIR/STTR projects.
  • Assist in TCSP activities tracking.
  • Participate in routine T2C Team meetings to enhance/streamline TCSP processes and activities planning.
  • Some travel required for conferences, outreach events and team meetings/workshops, estimate 2-5 trips per year.

Qualification Requirements:

Education:

  • MA/MS in a relevant field with 7 years of experience, or BA/BS with 9 years of experience

Clearance:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Experience:

  • With a Masters degree, 7 Years of related experience, including research and data analysis
  • Experience in commercial and innovation based industries
  • Technical background or comfort with technical development programs
  • Competency with standard Microsoft suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • Familiarity with DoD SBIR programs and federal, contractor or commercial R&D preferred

Desired skills:

  • Comfort with professional networking and strong business development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and comfort in working with remote, geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
