Description: HDR Engineering is seeking a Bridge EIT to join our team in Boise ID or Coeur d’Alene to assist in designing projects that make a difference in our community.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer in support of bridge design projects
• Prepare calculations for bridge superstructure and substructure design.
• Perform bridge load rating tasks
• Prepare cost estimates
• Assist in CADD drafting tasks
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and performing calculations for miscellaneous structures
• Assist on construction engineering and inspection projects in the field, if interested
• Perform other duties as assigned and needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Science is desirable
• EIT licensure required at time of application
• 0-4 years of experience with some bridge design preferred (intern or professional)
• Previous internships or work experience in transportation projects is a plus.
• Able to develop designs using hand calculations and other structural design software packages
• Microstation experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Projectwise
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail and quality is a must
• MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD, LARSA and Prestress Concrete Design experience
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
