JOB OVERVIEW:
To prepare and serve quality food to guests and exceed their expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a well-stocked, breakfast/reception room for hotel guests
- Prepares and serves all food products as needed, insuring proper presentation
- Transports food from preparation area to breakfast/reception room for timely set-up
- Maintains coolers, machine, coffee machine and tables at acceptable levels of sanitation and organization at all times
- Stocks dishware, silverware, styrofoam cups, condiments and other items as needed
- Checks and maintains coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products
- Requisitions food with necessary approvals according to policy
- Takes proper care of all equipment
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and control supplies and food, and minimize waste within all areas of comp services.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
- May assist with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place object weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility, bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
