JOB OVERVIEW:

To prepare and serve quality food to guests and exceed their expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a well-stocked, breakfast/reception room for hotel guests
• Prepares and serves all food products as needed, insuring proper presentation
• Transports food from preparation area to breakfast/reception room for timely set-up
• Maintains coolers, machine, coffee machine and tables at acceptable levels of sanitation and organization at all times
• Stocks dishware, silverware, styrofoam cups, condiments and other items as needed
• Checks and maintains coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food products
• Requisitions food with necessary approvals according to policy
• Takes proper care of all equipment
• Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control supplies and food, and minimize waste within all areas of comp services.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
• May assist with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place object weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility, bending, stooping and kneeling.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
