Brand Manager
The Performance team at Decoded is responsible for managing key pieces of business and guiding the execution of work that drives measurable outcomes. They provide excellent client service, applying the agency's best resources and effectively collaborating with people across departments to ensure that programs are flawlessly executed on-time and on-budget.
The Performance Manager will lead social and digital creative workflows that drive business outcomes for specific audiences and business segments. Your day will be spent understanding the objective of our creative efforts, working with strategy and creative teams to match those efforts with the right creative solutions, and then storytelling the data with analysts to communicate the impact of the creative.
You will build relationships with partnering brand manager clients, championing the Decoded creative learning process, and driving learnings and business growth through each project.
You will coach and inspire the development of junior agency staff (Brand Coordinators) by providing consistent feedback and training. You will also be managed by a Senior Brand Manager, however there are exponential growth opportunities within the brand and agency.
Prior digital creative and media client-facing experience is a must. The ability to dig into data and report creative insights from that data is imperative and further grown and training will be fostered.
The Performance Team is integrated into the Brand team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Decoded colleagues to deliver integrated solutions from campaign inception through completion
- Help lead the brand and clients across multiple integrated touch points, as they look to continue to push the boundaries of creative deliverables.
- Prepare creative briefs and client presentations with minimal supervision; lead client calls with confidence and maintain the control of the conversation - getting back on track if things derail.
- Effectively consult on creative learning agendas, deliver effective data storytelling against campaigns and creative, inspire larger creative strategies that can create further business outcomes and identify how the outcomes we are driving by our work can scale to other parts of the business
- Build a positive working relationship of the partner agencies active on the business
- Develop strong relationships with both our clients and your counterparts on the Creative, Strategy, Production and Media teams (Mid-Senior level)
- Be intimately familiar with the client's brand, product, market conditions and competitors - share intel, creative, articles, etc with your teams. Immerse yourself in the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of your client's business
- Coach and inspire the growth and development of junior agency staff via providing consistent feedback, training and growth opportunities
- Lead collaboration on analytics insights and reporting, working with internal Decoded and external analytics teams. Lead reporting and analyzing data and preparing reporting presentations.
- Engage in meaningful discussions with clients and partners to take actions to improve their experience and process working with Decoded
- Champion the agency perspective convincingly with clients. Is persuasive and articulate when communicating work and ideas. Challenge poor client feedback.
- Demonstrate passion for the agency, the work and the client's business.
- Lead all productions within your area of responsibility; participate in productions and support the Creative and Production teams in any way possible.
- Oversees Brand Coordinator on the business, and their work from brief development through deployment
- Ensure all work is accurate, reflects client comments, meets brand standards and is on strategy
- Assist in hiring, managing, developing and promoting junior team members
- Manage client's budget within agency
- Stay on top of all aspects of a project, always able to explain the status, timing implications and budget implications at each step. Always be two steps ahead on your projects.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working at an advertising agency, marketing firm, client side or start up
- Strong understanding of digital data signals, digital media, and data storytelling
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal department and client relationships
- Ability to head off potential conflicts and problems before they materialize, and have strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and willingness to take assignments readily
- Desire to maintain and continually improve personal knowledge base
- Ability to change course of action when appropriate or necessary
- Superior organization skills and be detail oriented
- Professional and positive attitude
- Experience supervising direct reports
- Ability to juggle and lead multiple assignments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience as a direct liaison between the brand marketers and the agency
- The ability to work in a collaborative manner with all agency departments and the client
- Ability to communicate feedback clearly and succinctly, both internally and externally
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70K - $80 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
