TITLE Boxing Club Columbia is seeking part-time high-energy, self-motivated, and reliable trainers with outgoing personalities to instruct group boxing classes. The position is perfect for anyone looking for a little extra cash while bettering themselves and our clients. TITLE Boxing Club mission statement: We are about making members healthier and stronger, physically and mentally.
Boxing experience is needed. Kickboxing and MMA experience are a plus. Full training provided. Sales and customer service background is helpful. The personal attention provided during TITLE Boxing Club workouts requires high energy and positivity. Training involves explaining and demonstrating exercises in a manner that provides the best workout each and every time while motivating the members to reach their goals. Flexible hours and opportunities to acquire clients for private training.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Arriving 20 min prior to the start of your scheduled class so you are ready to greet your clients.
- Wrapping hands for any prospect taking your class for the first time, as well as taking them through the basics (1-6 punches, basic defensive moves, boxing stance, how to hit the heavy bag, etc.).
- Use the guided daily Power Hour classes to teach your classes (we will work with you on how to put your own unique style into teaching your classes).
- Be able to properly demonstrate, explain, and articulate what you are teaching and the mechanics behind it.
- Make sure the bag system is sanitized and equipment is properly stowed after class.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of boxing experience.
- Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique.
- Able to coach, motivate and inspire members at every stage of their fitness journey.
- Present and sell subscriptions and private training.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal client base.
- Prior Personal Trainer experience is preferred, but not required.
Certifications / Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification (can get these certifications after being hired).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking.
Work Environment:
- This is a physically demanding job.
- The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.
- Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business.
