Frustrated by commercial soaps’ harsh chemicals, detergents, and animal fats, we set out to create a better way! Buff City Soap — delightfully scented plant-based soaps, handmade daily, in each of our local Soap Makeries.

WHAT IS THE COMMISSARY?

Our Commissary is where we hand make products to fulfill new and current store/online orders. We make all of the same products we craft in our retail stores, but at a greater volume. The commissary is not open to the public.

COMMISSARY TRUCK DRIVER ROLE

Commissary Truck Driver will perform all of the duties of Commissary Team Members, with the additional responsibility of driving our 30 ft box truck and/or a cargo van to deliver shipments of products to our stores. This is a Non CLD driver role. The Truck Driver needs to have open availability to drive and perform deliveries weekly Monday-Thursday. In addition to driving, the Truck Driver will be responsible for loading pallets of products onto our truck as well as unloading pallets of product at the shipments destination. The Truck Driver can be Full-Time or Part-Time.

COMMISSARY TEAM MEMBER ROLE

Commissary Team Members work together to provide our online customers with consistently high-quality, wonderful smelling handmade products. They follow recipes to make goods from scratch like bar soap, hand soap, bath bombs, body butters and laundry soap. They also package and ship online orders in a neat and timely manner.
Commissary Team Members can be Full-Time or Part-Time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid Drivers License and insurance
• Must be able to provide or willing to obtain a valid O.DOT medical card
• Must be able to provide or willing to obtain a 3 year BMV Drivers Report
• Working knowledge of Log Book utilization / procedures
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to undergo a background check
• Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions on productions
• Competent in basic math
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and have good safety awareness and efficiency skills
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures, above and beyond OSHA requirements, Good Manufacturing Practiced (GMPs), and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the production areas.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask

PAY

• $17.00 an hour base

• Pay rate when driving equal to base rate plus twenty cents per mile driven when making deliveries.

CURRENT COMMISSARY OPERATION HOURS

Our hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and Sundays depending on business needs.

Full Time Team Members work from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Part Time Team Members work from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
