Indiana University School of Medicine, Bloomington (IUSM-Bloomington) is announcing the search for a Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine. The Bloomington RAHC Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine will be the inaugural Program Director for the IU Health-IUSM Bloomington program, which anticipates matching its first class of residents in March 2024. The Program Director will be a clinical track faculty member of the Emergency Medicine Department of the IU School of Medicine and will have the opportunity to build a brand new Emergency Medicine residency with a focus on rural and community emergency medicine.
The Emergency Medicine Program Director will develop and implement the new Emergency Medicine GME program, including recruiting administrative staff and core faculty, creating the curriculum, teaching and mentoring residents and students, and recruiting the first and subsequent classes of residents. This position will be supported at 50% FTE level and will include 50% clinical commitment. Clinical time will be supported by an IUHP contract, but will be performed in the Bloomington, Bedford and Paoli emergency departments, alongside partners with Southern Indiana Physicians.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Terminal degree (MD or DO), active and unrestricted Indiana Medical License, or meets the requirements and qualifications for an active and unrestricted Indiana medical license, ABEM/ABOEM certification, dedicated educational background and training in Graduate Medical Education, as demonstrated by at least three years in a core faculty position with an established residency program.
