Salary Range: $85-130k depending on experience

Position Summary:

Bio-Techne is hiring for a Sales Specialist who can manage sales of our Biologics products (iCE, Maurice and MFI), consumables, and service in New York, Connecticut, and Eastern Canada. Our ideal candidate will be located in NY or CT.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hungry and motivated life sciences sales professional within a quickly growing global biotechnology company.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • High value capital equipment sales experience, or equivalent
  • Sales to biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical market a plus
  • Time and territory management skills are required.
  • Ability to speak with and present to customers on a technical level is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem solving
  • Proficient in listening, understanding and questioning; ability to translate that information to a value proposition for the customer. Interpersonal skills with a natural tendency to sell is desired.
  • Professional sales training is desired.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com is required.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence; a self-starter
  • Must be able to perform and succeed in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, independent, and a strong desire to succeed
  • Passionate about Science and Technology.
  • Committed to providing a superior customer experience
  • Can do attitude is a must!

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific field is required (Chemistry/Biochemistry/etc.)
  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a Scientific Field or MBA is an advantage
  • 4-5 years proven sales experience in the life science tools space.
