Job description
Local Printing company is looking for a shift supervisor on all three shifts for our bindery department. Experience working at a printing company in a bindery department is preferred. Experience working with machines is required as well as proven experience in a supervisory position. The perfect candidate will also have mechanical skills and leadership talent. This is a position that will report to the department manager.
Responsibilities:
Direct employees to meet quality and on-time delivery requirements.
Monitor production to ensure high quality of products delivered.
Monitor team productivity, give constructive feedback and mentorship.
Work with department manager on scheduling employees and adjusting job assignments as needed.
Manage employee performance, attendance and address disciplinary issues.
Set up of bindery equipment, trouble-shoot equipment problems and train employees on the various machines.
Look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Fill in where necessary on the production line.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
