Qualifications Required
- High School diploma or GED with 2 years health care billing experience or certificate in medical billing with 1 year of experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must be computer literate and possess ability to type approximately 45 wpm accurately.
- Understand and maintain confidentiality in accordance with Agency policies.
- Possess valid driver’s license, home telephone and reliable transportation.
- Ensure data and research is completed in a timely and procedurally correct manner.
- Daily data input, keypunch operation, working knowledge of data processing procedures.
- High level analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends on emergency basis.
- Ability and willingness to work with diverse populations.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
- Must obtain and maintain a Fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check.
Qualifications Preferred
- Prior office experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish.
