We are looking for a Billing Coordinator to join our team.
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or the CFO designee, the Billing Coordinator, coordinates all billing and follow-up process between the organization, payers, and patients independently. Analyzes and reports on insurance denial causes and trends. Acts as a resource and mentor for peers.
- Associates Degree and 3+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination
- Demonstrable ability to lead teams or groups of colleagues
- Ability to investigate, analyze, and in good coordination with management resolve departmental issues.
- Ability to multitask, establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate clearly with management.
- Ability to assign and interpret hospice related bill coding.
- The ability to transcribe information from the original source into an electronic system according to written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately.
- Knowledge of the financial process to track patient care from intake to the final payment of a balance.
- Ability to show leadership and influence people of equal rank in an effort to accomplish team goals.
