Job Summary
A fast-paced immigration practice seeks a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) paralegal for immediate hire.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assembling immigration application forms along with required evidence.
- Meet with clients to gather case information and prepare documents.
- Draft legal documents and affidavits.
- Manage a voluminous caseload for clients and meet priorities set by case manager.
- Update practice management software with all client information and case progress.
- Translation of documents from Spanish to English.
- Interpret for appointments from Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (conversing, reading, and writing)
- Undergraduate degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of legal experience preferred.
- Solid work history.
- Strong interest in an immigration-based practice.
- Microsoft Word and Excel: Intermediate/Advanced proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
