Company located in New York, NY is looking for a Benefits Case Manager to start ASAP!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess household needs including a benefits eligibility screening and identification of other needs that can be addressed through appropriate referrals.
- Ensure clients understand the documentation they need to successfully complete benefits applications and assist with procurement of these documents as necessary.
- Complete other benefits applications using paper-based forms and online system.
- Provide comprehensive advocacy services. .
- Conduct follow-up to ensure clients receive benefits and other services.
- Utilize on-line resource manuals and establish contacts with service providers.
- Utilize agency database to maintain all client records and documentation.
- Utilize self-sufficiency calculator and contract specific software.
- Ensure that client records are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
- Actively participate in Benefits team meetings
This is a temporary position for 3 to 4 months paying $26-$27 per hour.
